Andreas Schönenberger appointed new CEO of the SIGVARIS Group

Appenzell, May 26, 2016 - The Board of Directors of SIGVARIS Holding AG has appointed Andreas Schönenberger as new CEO of the SIGVARIS Group. Previously he was the CEO of SIGVARIS AG in St. Gallen and responsible for the Country Group Europe Central, North and East. Andreas Schönenberger will assume his new role on June 1, 2016 and will replace Urs Toedtli, who will be pursuing a new career challenge.

Since Urs Toedtli joined the SIGVARIS Group in October 2010, the company has launched a large range of innovative products and has established itself in new markets, with subsidiaries in China, Australia, Mexico, Italy and Poland. We would like to thank Urs Toedtli for his commitment in the past six years and wish him all the best for his future. 

Andreas Schönenberger (*1962) has been successful in his role as CEO of SIGVARIS AG since June 2014. He was responsible for the Swiss, German, Austrian, Italian, Scandinavian, Eastern European, Middle Eastern and Asian/Pacific Markets. He has extensive management experience and profound knowledge in the healthcare industry. With Andreas Schönenberger the global leader in medical compression stockings would like to continue its international growth strategy on the basis of the solid foundation of its 150 year-old success story. 

Before Andreas Schönenberger joined the company he served as country manager and division head for various pharmaceutical and Consumer Healthcare companies nationally and internationally such as Sanofi, Bayer and Roche in Spain, Germany and the USA. He also has experiences in operative and strategic functions, including as marketing manager, global category head and business controller. Andreas Schönenberger graduated from the University of Basel with a master’s degree in economics and social science (1988).
