ACCREDITATIONS 
Pre-approved for continuing education credits for PT/PTA/OT/COTA/LPN/RN/NP through FL APTA, Nursing and Occupational Therapy Boards. 3.5 CE Hours OT/PT and 3 CE Hours NSG, through the International Lymphedema & Wound Training Institute.

COURSE DESCRIPTION 
This 3-hour, online course is designed for health care professionals who treat patients with edema of various etiologies, including lymphedema. Its purpose is to help the clinician differentiate between clinical characteristics of chronic venous insufficiency, phlebolymphedema, lymphedema, malignant lymphedema, lipedema, lipolymphedema, dependent edema, and edema due to congestive heart failure, renal disease and deep vein thrombosis. The course stresses the importance of the ankle brachial index and its relevance to compression therapy, reviews the main components of complete decongestive physiotherapy, and helps clinicians identify types of compression garments used for long-term management of chronic edema.
