I was diagnosed with lymphodema at the age of 18 so write as someone who's been dependent on medical compression hosiery for quite a while. Yet I only discovered Sigvaris two years ago. I so appreciate the hugely positive effect they have had on my life.
I was advised to wear Essential COMFORTABLE Class 2 thigh-high stockings and tights and so far, have relied on the excellent 'off-the-shelf' products. With donning gloves, they are easy to put on and take off, they are durable and they fit well - so that it's often not obvious that I'm wearing compression hosiery. Even during the warmest days of summer, they've been comfortable, supporting my legs and containing the swelling.
They are also extremely durable and, with care, seem to last much longer that the six months I was originally advised to keep them for.
It took me a very long time to accept that I really needed these stockings and tights. I now have so much more energy, can fit far more into my day and very much regret the time that I wasted!
