Our experienced clinical team brings 40 years of combined experience across district nursing, tissue viability and lower limb management. Our nurses stay up to date with current practice and developments so that training remains relevant, evidence-based and grounded in real clinical experience.

Educational Study Days

16th September 2026 / Time - 10:00 am

This CPD certified training day will provide an overview of the management of chronic oedema/ lymphoedema, utilizing a problem-solving approach to the components of care and choosing the appropriate therapy.

The training is aimed at lymphoedema therapists, community & practice nurses and clinicians involved in the management of patients with chronic oedema.

CPD hours: 6 hours

  • Pre-course reading: 2 hours
  • Online Teams session: 4 hours

Learning objectives

  • Describe the circulatory system, including the lymphatic system, and its role in lower limb swelling.
  • Explain how tissue fluid is formed and how disruption leads to oedema in patients.
  • Define chronic oedema and recognise common conditions associated with it.
  • Identify the key components of care in chronic oedema management and apply these to individual patient presentations.
  • Demonstrate understanding of compression therapy and its role in managing chronic oedema.
  • Select appropriate treatment options for patients with chronic oedema based on clinical assessment and patient factors.
15th July 2026 / Time - 10:00am

This CPD certified training day is aimed at those who are new to the management of lower limb ulceration or require a refresher in leg ulcer management.

The training day will provide an overview of the use of the leg ulcer treatment pathway and the use of compression in the management of lower limb ulceration.

CPD hours: 6 hours

  • Pre-course reading: 2 hours
  • Face to face taught session: 4 hours

Learning objectives

  • Define venous and arterial ulceration, causes and the conditions associated with the terminology.
  • Understand the importance of assessment and diagnosis.
  • Deliver the most up to date, evidenced based care linked to The National Wound Care Strategy
  • How to refer to the use of compression therapy for peripheral oedema: considerations in people with heart failure.
  • Discuss and describe the components of care in lower leg ulceration.
  • Understand the principles of management for lower leg ulceration and the long-term maintenance of healed ulceration. 
  • Understand product choice in the management of lower limb ulceration.
17th June 2026 / Time - 10:00 am

This CPD certified training day is aimed at those who are new to the management of lipoedema (lipalgia) syndrome.

The training day will provide an overview of the use of compression management of lipalgia (lipoedema) as well as the assessment and management of lipoedema (lipalgia).

CPD hours: 6 hours

  • Pre-course reading: 2 hours
  • Face to face taught session: 4 hours

If, unfortunately, you are unable to attend, no cancellation fee will be charged. Please note that a minimum of 10 participants is required for each course to proceed. Should we need to cancel or reschedule a course, we will provide you with at least two weeks' notice.
