March is Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Awareness Month

SIGVARIS promotes DVT Awareness Month to educate people about blood clots and provide prevention tips.

DVT, also known as a blood clot, is a common medical condition. Anyone, regardless of age, can develop a blood clot, which can cause serious complications and sometimes death. The CDC projects DVTs affect up to 900,000 people in the United States annually.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including daily exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, eating a balanced diet and wearing compression daily may help to prevent DVT.
